Emotions are central components of human interaction and shape perception, communication, and decision-making processes in social contexts. At the same time, they are conceptualized differently depending on the disciplinary approach – for example, as psychophys biological processes, as socially constructed phenomena, as communicative practices, or as cognitive evaluation mechanisms. The WIN-Conference Emotion und Interaktion: Empirische und theoretische Zugänge verschiedener Disziplinen aims to bring these perspectives together and foster interdisciplinary dialogue.
The conference focuses on both theoretical models of emotions in interactive contexts and empirical studies from diverse methodological traditions. Presentations from the fields of expertise in psychology, sociology, linguistics, communication studies, neuroscience, and related disciplines are intended to establish connections between different levels of analysis – ranging from neurocognitive foundations to interactional microanalyses to societal frameworks.
