In keeping with its founding idea of bringing together outstanding scientists from the state for interdisciplinary discussion and joint basic research, the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities has been promoting outstanding young researchers in Baden-Württemberg for 2002 by providing financial support and scientific advice.
The WIN-Kolleg of the Young Academy | HAdW enables interdisciplinary research projects. It opens up academic freedom and scientific exchange across disciplinary boundaries at an early stage in their careers. For 20 years, membership in the WIN-Kolleg and the associated research project have been an important step on the way to a professorship for many of the more than 90 WIN fellows to date.
In a new round of calls for proposals, young academics from the state of Baden-Württemberg who have already distinguished themselves through outstanding academic achievements are invited to submit an application for funding for an interdisciplinary research project within the framework of the WIN-Kolleg of the Young Academy | HAdW. The call for proposals is aimed at researchers from all disciplines who want to work on the topic of "Complexity Reduction - Principles, Methods and Challenges" (internal link) in an interdisciplinary group.
The Academy offers the fellows active support from its members during the funding period.
